Privacy Policy

Who operates this service
PocketPlanner is the independent app and service identified as “PocketPlanner” in its website and app-store listings. This policy applies to the PocketPlanner web, iOS, and Android experiences.
Information we process
- Account: email address, display name, authentication ID, and sign-in provider.
- Planner content: lists, reminders, to-dos, coupons, scanned results, shared-list membership, store addresses, and coordinates you save.
- Photos and scans: images you intentionally upload or scan and the structured results produced from them.
- Location: precise device location only after permission and only while using a location feature. An address you look up is sent to our geocoding provider.
- Calendar: event data you choose to sync with Google Calendar. Calendar permission is requested separately from sign-in.
- Support: name, reply email, category, and message submitted through the support form.
- Optional diagnostics: after consent, sanitized route paths, coarse device/browser/country information, performance measurements, and redacted error details. Planner text, photos, account IDs, query strings, and private share/join tokens are excluded.
- Operations: IP address and request metadata may appear in short-lived security, rate-limit, hosting, and provider logs.
Where information goes
Signed-out planner data is stored in the app or browser on your device. Signed-in data uses Google Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Storage. AI scans are processed through OpenAI's API. Address searches use OpenStreetMap Nominatim through our server. Optional anonymous analytics and performance data use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Support submissions are placed in the operator's private issue system. Google Calendar data is sent to Google only when you connect that feature.
How we use information
- Provide, sync, secure, and troubleshoot features you request.
- Extract fields from documents you intentionally scan.
- Deliver reminders and calendar actions you configure.
- Prevent abuse, monitor reliability, and control operating costs.
- Answer support, privacy, and deletion requests.
Sharing and tracking
Information is shared only with service providers needed for a feature you use, with people you intentionally share with, when required by law, or in a protected business transfer. PocketPlanner does not sell personal information, serve behavioral ads, or track users across other companies' apps and websites.
Retention and deletion
- On-device data remains until you remove it, clear app/site data, or the device removes it.
- Signed-in planner content remains while the account is active and is removed through the account-deletion flow, subject to limited provider backup, fraud, security, and legal retention.
- Scanner images are sent for the requested analysis and are not intentionally saved by the PocketPlanner scanner function; the AI provider's configured abuse-monitoring and retention terms may still apply.
- Optional diagnostic retention follows Vercel's configured service retention. Support issues may be kept for up to 12 months after closure unless longer retention is required for security or law.
Your choices and rights
You can use core on-device planning without an account, deny camera/location/notification permission, keep diagnostics off, disconnect Calendar, delete photos, and delete your full account. You can change the diagnostics choice at any time in Account. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection through the secure support form.
Account deletion
PocketPlanner provides deletion inside Account → Danger Zone and through a complete web flow that does not require the installed app. See Delete your account.
Children, security, and changes
PocketPlanner is not directed to children under 13. We use access rules, authenticated requests, transport encryption, data minimization, and rate limits, but no service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the product changes and will revise the effective date.
Contact
Use the secure PocketPlanner support form for privacy questions or requests. Do not submit passwords or document images.
